CG Conditioners

Conditioners are an important part of your hair routine. During the Curly Girl Method, a conditioner is an absolute must for your curls when you wash them.

According to the Curly Girl Method, it makes more sense to wash with a conditioner or co-wash instead of a normal shampoo. But which conditioner do you need? We are happy to help you out!

Why is a conditioner so important?

A shampoo causes your hair cuticles to lift, which also opens up your hair. Conditioner, on the other hand, makes your cuticles lie down again.

This is an important difference because otherwise you are more likely to break your locks if your cuticles do not lie down.

When hair cuticles are up, they stick out and eventually kink or break off. Your curls will then be intensely damaged and repairing this takes a lot of time, money and effort.

In fact, it is possible to repair your curls like a band-aid in the form of Olaplex 3. But of course, you want prevention rather than cure.

So a proper conditioner is very important. The hair cuticles will then remain calm and therefore your hair will not only be protected but also nourished.

What are the benefits of using a conditioner?

A conditioner is a real enrichment and suitable for the Curly Girl Method. But what exactly are the benefits? We will make sure you have no doubts.

That is why we have compiled a list of benefits for you:

  • Your curls stay strong and healthy
  • A conditioner, like a leave-in conditioner, works almost instantly
  • Prevents dry hair
  • Your curls are easy to comb through
  • Your hair is moisturized and it also takes care of your hair

Can I use a conditioner in combination with the Curly Girl Method?

Yes, our conditioners are safe to use during the Curly Girl Method. Our CG products do not contain ingredients such as mineral oils, silicones, parabens and drying alcohol. So they are totally CG approved.

Does a conditioner help prevent tangles?

If you are prone to tangles, a conditioner is a lifesaver. A conditioner will make your hair smooth, the cuticles will lie down and fewer hooks will form, making your curls less likely to tangle.

Does conditioner work against oily hair?

A conditioner generally speeds up the process of greasy hair. But we also have a lightweight conditioner that doesn't make your curls greasy, but rather softens them.
